Welcome!
Mexi-Pings are one of my favourite groups. What part of Mexico are you from? Maybe there are some sites near you.

Bienvenido sethmut - Despite this being essentially the Canadian forum, it quite international as well. I am from the States. The poster above this post is from New Zealand, plus many others. I tell people that this is the friendliest place on the internet, and it's primarily for discussing carnivorous plants. What could be better?! What a wonderful place to be from! Hidalgo is full of many wonderful botanical treasures, carnivorous and not (have you had the chance to see Fouquieria fasciculata in the wild?). Hidalgo is a place I have longed to visit, and will hopefully one day. Though, I've spent many happy hours exploring the Sierra in Sonora and northern Sinaloa. But it is not the same, no pings. There it also has beautiful places, amazing plants, and wonderful people. If ever I do get to visit Hidalgo, there will be something very familiar to me. If I remember correctly, your region and one very near me have a shared traditional food - pasties. Don't worry about your English. It's far, far better than mine before I have had my caffeine in the morning. I look forward to hearing about your plants.

Bienvenido amigo!
I was in PLaya Del Carmen a few weeks ago. Although I saw some beautiful plants while I was there, I didn't stay long enough to find any carnivorous plants. I'd love to return and do more plant related things apposed to drinking related things.
