New member from Toronto as the title says, I just started keeping CPs and picked up a copy of Natch Greyes book aswell, if anyone has any good recommendations of books to read for keeping CPs that would be great and much appreciated. I currently keep Nepenthes Alata, some big mouth Venus fly trap seedlings, a few D. Burmanni and some Nepenthes Kampotiana that I have grown from seed. Quite the addicting hobby! I'm always looking for more information on CPs so any good reads anyone knows would be great! Thanks, Austin.

Welcome Austin! Regarding books, I know others will disagree with me, but I don't think much of Natch's book. The book that inspired so many Cp growers, The Savage Garden, is now in it's second addition. I would highly recommend that one! It has been well updated, but still has the same spirit of the original.

I will have to concur with Apoplast, The Savage Garden is a great 'all around' CP book and can be picked up fairly cheap online. Highly recommend this one, the RedFern books are just brilliant but more expensive.

Hahaha thanks for the input guys I shall definitely be picking up the savage garden I have heard nothing but good news about it! I realized very quickly I would really be into this hobby when I had set up one of my empty dart frog tanks as a terrarium to grow seedlings in! Loving it so far and I've only got about 5 species but 100 more I want haha.

Welcome. I definitely second Peter D' Amato's book and Barry Rice's book. They are fantastic books to start off. The Red fern books are amazing and unparalleled...but more towards a scientific monograph of species rather than helping with cultivation. Do post if you need any assistance or suggestions wth your plants.
