Here are the two plants for cyberpeter getting ready for shipping. I custom make a box to fit. I've already put extra cardboard pieces on the back to hold the cup down if the box goes upside down. I'll add pieces to sides and front for same purpose (they rest on rim of cup to hold it down). I also put cardboard on the bottom to hold the cups in position. FYI this is 19.5 cm by 18 cm by 10 cm and weighs 856 grams.....shipping to Quebec City is $26.42 XpressPost. And I'll fill the box with popcorn when it's time to ship to help hold everything (ceph covered in plastic so popcorn not getting into pitchers...

Plants are on their way....Tracking numbers....
Edmonton...0647209000802354
Ontario.....0647209000802378
Quebec......0647209000802361
Just be careful when you open them...take your time....between the tape/the glue/the cheerios (not popcorn this time)....they'll be like little puzzles to open. Just take your time and cut the tape etc...one of the sides s/b the door and s/b easier to open but just cut slowly through the tape etc....

Thanks for putting the extra effort with shipping.
Telling me to take my time with a box of plants is torture and I'm not sure if I can do it. lol

You would need an account like on photobucket (who I use)...you then "upload" the photo...then you have to copy and paste the HTML code for the photo from photobucket (which is saying where the photo is on the web) into the "insert image" icon (delete the "http://" from icon box first) . The Insert Image Icon is found at top of box where you post something on this site (not using the "post quick reply as it does not show the icons at top to add things to your post).

I first cutted the tape on the four edges, then putted it upright and removed the cover. It came out exactly as seen on your pic, except it was wrapped and full of falling cheerios. I pulled them out, took scissors to cut wraps. Everything came out nicely !

Nice pictures and great to see how well the plant came through shipping. What you don't see (for those viewing) is the top of the cup was covered in a piece of Saran Wrap help in place by a rubber band. Then, to keep water from leaking out the bottom, a piece of plastic came from the bottom and, having run out of elastics, I held in place with a piece of black electrical tape. That way, the Cheerios (was too lazy to pop some popcorn) don't get into the plant and the water does not leak out the bottom (although I do see evidence of some water getting out-water stain at bottom right).
It's -10 C this morning so good they went out when they did. Looks like anyone wanting a ceph will now have to wait till spring to get it shipped..but I will have Cephs available in Spring....
