Hi everyone, so glad to have stumbled on the site. As a child I had my share of Venus fly traps, but it wasn't till an accidental stumble upon a bog way up Timmins area, that I became a lot more interested. This bog had sundews and Purple pitchers, by the hundreds! Amazing find. The cottage was sold and have never visited the bog again. A field trip is definately in order. It's been over 30 years, and my renewed interest in CP's is drawing me. I would love to create my own outdoor little bog at my cottage or backyard. I have 2 species of Asian pitchers and one sundew cluster ( spathulata ) all thriving incredibly well, but indoor plants during the winter for sure. Not an outdoor bog addition unfortunately. My goal is to find more winter hardy species, seeds, seedlings or plants for that little bog.
Fantastic forum by the way! Glad to be a part of the community. Jim

Hello Jim! Welcome to OCPS I'm sure you will able to build your bog with the help of members here! I think Sarr have the best chance surviving the winter in Canada outdoors. Cheers, Willy
