I agree Hal. I've never felt legitamately unsafe in Canada. I've been through towns in Florida where people would walk right up to our car at the crosswalk. And I mean right up. I've also seen gangs there. Compared to places in the US, most parts of Canada have it good.

I hear you Lloyd, but the same goes for pedestrians on their phones. They'll wander in front of you when you're driving through an intersection, or backing out of a parking spot between two short-bus-sized SUVs, or they hit the button on the crosswalk then dart out immediately without even looking. I guess the point is we're getting much more self-centered as a society and nothing is anyone's fault. /don't even get me started on bikes and cars. Most cyclists are clueless or idiots, and drivers take full advantage of that fact.
