I now have lots of Myrmecodia tuberosa seedlings. I gave a lot to hal and I still have lots. I emailed the Chief Horticulturist at U of T. Turned out he wanted some. I had no idea that they had a greenhouse on the roof (5'th floor) of the Earth Sciences Building. Most rooms are for experiments that dealt with C4 photosynthesis, wind pollination, reproductive morphology in water hyacinths and other interests. However some rooms were for "fun" stuff, a lot of it transferred from the old Victorian Greenhouse at Queens Park Circle and College. I was going to a bakery around the corner so I went this morning. Luckily I put 1.5 hours on the parking machine. I got the full tour. The "fun" rooms had all sorts of tropicals: orchids, pepper vines, cacao, sapodilla etc., temperate rooms had interesting stuff like that rescued "extinct" pine that people are growing now, a succulent room had some nice cacti and succulents and a neat Welwitschia. Some of the plants are over 50 years old. I remembered some from when I was a student in the early 70's. And of course some CP's. P weser, and some big N. ventricosas. Pictures of the CP's, Welwitschia, a cardomon fruit (orange) I gave him a little cup with about 9 ant plant seedlings, a whole bunch of baby dendrobiums, a Pereskia grandifolia, some D. hamiltonii, and a glop of U. gibba. He wanted to give me a Weser but he told me that the greenhouse was so huge with so many plants that they could never get rid of all the scale and mealies so I declined. He did give me two clean tubers of a Dioscorea vine-one's for you Ian. Despite their problems the plants looked lush and healthy.

Very nice pics Lloyd. Thats some good potential at UofT. They could clearly grow some amazing Cps.
