Well, it does stimulate roots but inhibits shoots though dominance, so the active growth point would be the area of so much auxin that it inhibits the terminal buds from growing. I was thinking maybe adding auxin may help lessen the effect of dominance, but I never tried it first hand so don't take my word completely for it haha. In general, auxin is for cell elongation and cytokinins is for cell division which both allows both to work well together. Keep us posted on whatever hormone you decide to experiment with.

I just mixed up some NAA 1% in lanolin. It's an auxin and I'm using it to try and suppress the apical meristems on my Acacia and Euphorbia tirucalli to encourage a lower bushier growth.

I am interested in trying the hormone way, to induce plant growth/keiki growth...aiming for daylilies, african violets, and a few other plants...not set up for carnivorous at this time, no greenhouse! I am in SK....

Most people here grow CP's without greenhouses.
I've been using homemade keiki pastes successfully; BAP to stimulate meristems and NAA to suppress them.
