My little ventrata has been getting the edges of the leaves browning, which eventually moves in to kill the whole leaf, initially I thought it was going through shock from a mishap earlier, but it's been putting out new nice growth and pitchers fine, but the older leaves are still turning brown and dying off for a couple months. I'm wondering if there's something wrong with it or if it's not happy with someway it's living. Also I picked up two neps from my local greenhouse and I'm not sure what they are. Picked them up for 6$ each though so I can't complain! Plant 1. Plant 2.

Plant 2 looks like nepenthes "Miranda" or possibly nepenthes maxima. Most likely Miranda since it is commonly mass produced.

Okay. I was suspecting that too. I didn't know they mass produced Miranda. I thought it was mostly the Ventrata that were mass produced. Good to know. I think the first plant is most likely the same as the second, it's just a warped pitcher, as at the greenhouse it formed stuck between two pots, but I'm not quite sure as it has none of the spotting on the outside.

I commonly see small miranda and ventrata ranging from small plants to gigantic plants at my local nurseries. Both hybrids are very easy and produce pretty neat pitchers.

Hi Azgarath, just on another note. The epiphyllum (cactus) in the the first picture looks to me like it might need more sun. With all those aerial roots it is telling you that the plant is looking for something. Mine do that in the winter months looking for moisture.
Just my .02,
Bince

Ahahaha. Yeah my dragon fruit really....needs to be properly separated and transplanted. Currently I'm just clipping it pack and potting all the rooted pieces, which has been going really well otherwise.

My apologies, I bought a epi from a lady years ago because I felt sorry for the plant. The soil was dry and hard. I took it home and transplanted it then two weeks later I cut it way back. Two months later I had a really nice plant. Good luck with your dragon fruit and your cp.'s.
