Cory sent me one of his Big Orange plus added in a second little one that I wasn't expecting! And spathulata seeds and a D. capensis!! Surprises abound in the box. A million thank you's Cory!
Here are the Big Oranges once I cut thru all the tape, which let me tell you took a bit of work
In their new pots (all except the little guy, that one got a zip lock baggie)

I'm glad your happy.
It should take right off. Won't be to long and all that old growth will die off and be replaced by new orange pitchers. They always look their worst when acclimated and rooted. The coloration of the new growth is very promising
I believe in time these will become much more popular once adult plants exist and people see them.

Cory I'll keep you updated as it progresses. If it colors up like the one on Wistuba's website it's going to be a gorgeous looking plant!
What's really nice is FedEx was able to get it across the big lake within 24 hours. Nice to have a grower I'm almost in waving distance to
Was going to ask you how long it takes the sundew to start producing "dew"? I've never grown these before so I'm not sure what to expect.

It will the new growth looks very promising and orange lol. It will likely darken as the pitchers age after they are completely formed. My other division here is a bit bigger I'll keep you posted as to it's growth and coloration
As for the cape If it's in bright light a week or two. The old leaves won't produce new dew once it's gone. The new growth that replaces it will though. It's a very easy grower just keep it in a full water tray and bright light. That's basically it Before long you will see it as a weed

Almost 3 weeks into being acclimated so I thought I would post updated pics of the Heli's from Cory and Tim Krug. The H. heterodoxa x ? (Cory says minor) I bought from someone on ebay and so far so good with that one too. Tim's are coloring up nicely!

What's the tag say on that heterodoxa hybrid?
I assumed it was a heterodoxa x minor. Those are quite common on eBay. You will know soon enough heterodoxa x nutans grows quite fast in comparison to minor.
They have set back a bit but that's expected I would assume you should see some new growth here quite soon

Maybe once it grows an adult pitcher it'll be easier to figure out.

Whoo hooo! I took the above updated pics on the 31st. Tonight I was giving all the bagged Heli's a bit of fresh air and I spotted this on the small division Big Orange! I'm psyched that it's decided to live and not throw me into a perpetual state of depression. I added an arrow so it's easy to spot
Doing a happy Heli dance (need to snip that bent pitcher off one of these days.......)
