Saw a brick of it the other day at buckerfeilds or w/e. in the plant section for 2 .50. Any benefits of using it? I know u have to soak it and since it a couple times. But does it get skunky like peat?

Best to check CPUK, they have a full forum on sustainable potting material. FWIW, coco has very high salt content so need to be washed thoroughly before use for CPs. And the runoff water has a slightly basic pH - (IMHO) less of a concern if you top water but could exacerbate deficiencies/problems if you're using the tray method. I prefer it for planting tropicals, keeps better structure and water retention.

I agree-salt can be a killer. Somewhere there's a thread with my tedious coir washing process. It takes at least a week to get the TDS of the drainage water down to a safe level.

Eww a week ...yah i messed around with the ukcp forum. Grabed tapatalk instead of proboards app. Still Need to create a thing on ukcp forum:p.
