Is anyone here experianced with paypal? I would just like to know if there are any fees associated with getting the cash from my bank into the paypal account and if there are any fees for sending the money to someone (like via ebay).
The reason I'm asking is that I would like to use an ebay account to order some plants, but I would like to know of any hidden fees first. As for the ebay stuff, are there any reccomended sellers?
Thanks for your time!

There is no fees? I will have to check but i do think there is small fee when using Paypal... but nothing major.
About Macrovulgaris, I won on eBay some plants from her about 1 month ago and still got no news from her (I've written her 3 times), anyone know something about this?

I have used paypal a few times now and I gotta say...its pretty reliable. So don't worry about being jipped off by paypal. Obviously always go through the www.paypal.com site....because there were a couple of hacked wesbites that redirect to a false site and stuff...so just ensure you are using the real paypal site and you should be fine. About sending money to someone....there is NO FEES if you select "other transaction" or something.....notice the question mark at send money and it will tell the things paypal charges u for. There is also no fees associated with a bank transfer to paypal...BUT ...there is fees if u transfer from paypal to ur bank when the amount is under 150$. there are a few things like these....apart from that paypal is pretty useful and reliable way to ensure that u don't throw around credit card numbers everywhere.

I use PayPal all the time and I think it's great. There is a small charge when someone sends you money but it's trivial and much cheaper than any other method. That's the only charge I've ever had. Of course there are phishing email but just delete and never click anything on any email you get from "PayPal". You can always go directly to their site if you have a problem.

lloyd....I don't there is a charge in sending money. I have never been charged for sending money. Check the question mark in that "send money" to see which of the transactions are free.

Hi Vraev: I meant there is a charge taken from the recipient when somebody sends you money. For instance, if I sent $5 by PayPal to you, they would take off $0.25 or something and you would get $4.75, whatever was leftover. It's not very much. I, the sender, would only be out $5.

Vraev: Don't be sad, PayPal is cheaper than sending a cheque with the bank fees and don't forget the stamp either. Also you don't have to wait or have it get lost. Remember the plant that took two weeks to get from Toronto to Hamilton. How is the U. calcyfida anyway?

Hi Vraev, what about the stalk that had a few stolons and roots, did it die, too? I could send more in the spring.
