Hi,
My Sarracenia leucophylla did some normal pitchers in spring but now they are all very long and twisted (snake like), and very skinny pitchers. Is that normal?
The plant grow in a small bog garden in a plastic pot in spagnum moss and peat. It is watered with RO water and in full sun outside. The springs pitchers seem to be full of insects so food must not be the problem.
The others 5 sarracenia in there are doning great with nice large pitchers so not sure why it is doing these long sinious pitchers.
thanks!

I find the pitchers do change from spring to fall.

Here is the pic. It produced a few normal pitchers in spring but now they are very very long and skinny. It's a leucophylla Tarnok I think, with the double flower.
All of my sarracenia flowered in spring and look very healthy beside this problem with one of them.

I think that happens in the heat of summer, maybe more if there's any water stress. Mine do it too.

thanks a lot!
