Hi, is there some anime fan here? If yes, what do you watch?
I'm a big anime fan. I have all episodes of: Naruto, Bleach, Hellsing, Megas xlr, Ghost in the shell, Full metal alchemist, Ergo proxy and I started to watch Chobits, Death note and Elfen lied. I have also Robot chicken.

I like the first few Gundam series (Zeta, ZZ, MSG) and similar stuff. A bunch of my buddies like NAruto and Fullmetal Alchemist, but I have yet to see much of it.. I am more a fan of DaiKaiju stuff, like Ultraman and Gojira (I have all but 2 Godzilla movies but usually anything from Japan is good enough to keep me watching when I get my hands on it... Like MXE- despite the ridiculous (and admittedly often pretty funny) commentary, the action on that show is usually totally mesmerizing to me

Wow you guys are way ahead of me. I got into Battle of the Planets in the 1970's, probably the original anime brought to this continent.

Akira was the one that opened my eyes. I'm not really into to much of today's anime scene, but have all of ghibli studio's work (in Japanese). I got to admit, I'm a sucker for great CGI work - like the final fantasy film series.

For myself the big turn on was Neon Genisis Evangelion, i absolutly loved it. Been out of the anime loop for a while now though.

Akira was a pretty wild film, too bad it didn't see wider release in the 80's or animé would be a bit more popular- the "serious" stuff, not the "kids" type stuff which most certainly IS pretty popular Evangelion- haven't seen past ep 12 I don't think, but it is a fun series, really heavy and the mecha designs are pretty slick, I love the semi-organic nature of everything in the series and the way it was building up in the last bits I saw Battle of the Planets?? Also known as Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, and an EXCELLENT series, the beast-machine thingies that Zoltar used were always fun- tho I do believe that Mazinga Z (also Tranzor Z) was the very first released here, with UFO Robot Grandizer and Starblazers being in there somewhere as well... And yes, I DO like Giant Robots maybe a bit too much
