...hello friends, here's a pic of a greenhouse that I'm building in my backyard. I had a bunch of left over 2X4's lying around (from my tomato support system, I'm downsizing) so I thought, I'll build a greenhouse. It will be attached to the shed, with a sloped roof for rain water collection. About 10'X7'. Happy Easter!

I'm envious. What are you planning on growing in it?

...yes, cat seeds and platypus seeds as well, haha. Shot myself in the foot and decided to paint some parts of the greenhouse. BIG mistake!! For one, I despise painting and two, paint has to dry, ughhhh!! So instead of finishing it, I find myself waiting for paint to dry. That's ok, just a minor setback, will post pic when finished. Cheers!

...so I'm almost finished. The roof is done, the front door is in, the eavestrough is in, just a couple of things left. Still have to properly connect my water collection system, put up some shelving and do the rest of the trim (ughhh!!!, more painting), and window and door hardware. Nice and cozy in there already, put my store bought VFT's in there today. It's been raining here for the last couple of days, I've got a garbage bin full of rainwater already! Cheers!

That's some great progress! Just make sure to test the water regularly with a TDS meter

That's some great progress! Just make sure to test the water regularly with a TDS meter What's that? I'm sure I can easily pick one up somewhere but what is it for, measuring impurities? I just assumed rainwater was ok. Thanks for the heads up.
