ahh excellent idea- should be maybe 3 of us weighing in on this one eh ?? I went for the Klingon one, obvious at this point, cos that's what it looks like to meh.... I can't recall anyone around here voting for the Liberals based on the fact that they would change the symbol, nor do I see the point, it was fine as it was, but I guess that's why I'm not a politician

No, you're not a politician for two very large reasons:
1) You have integrity 2) You have a functioning BRAIN!

Well, looked at savethetrillium.ca and I must admit seeing the symbols side-by-side makes the new one look idiotic, Ange and I were tryingto put our finger on exactly what is wrong (horribly so) with the stupid thing and the best notion came from her, she said "it looks like it's leaving" which is actually pretty funny I love how you really wouldn't think it was a trillium, too, which is exactly what a good symbol should do in my opinion- not bring ANYTHING to mind..... And Ange also pointed out how the "old" symbol suggested some kind of unity between different entities- my first thought on seeing the new one was that it looked like some kind of mutated pot-leaf , but Brian didn't include that option in the poll... And what the HECK is up with them DOTS? I have NEVER seen a trillium that sported those Okay enough dumping on the thing, I'll give the soapbox over to whoever wants it next

Why don't we lobby for a new official flower? I do love trilliums but I think it's time for an aquatic bladderwort. We certainly have lots of them in Ontario. Then once we raise people's CP consciousness we can go for huge publicly funded bogs in every major centre with all the local CP's.

I have a sort of odd feeling that THIS is gonna be the "big election issue" in the coming months, seeing as how the provincial liberals really don't have much to show for their tenure so far and "attack" politics seems to be the new order, and the eventual upshot- a newly formed Conservative government will spend half a million changing it BACK... Dung on a stick or Dungsicle, which would you like ??
