Hey forum, I just noticed this really mutated leaf growing from my typical VFT. I first only saw the 2 heads growing on it, but on closer inspection, I could see a third one growing from about the middle of the petiole. It would be really cool to see this leaf as a whole VFT, so I'm goin to attempt a leaf pulling. TC would be best, but I have no Idea how to do it... Would leaf pulling work? This'll be pretty cool to see. Also, should I pull when the traps are matured or just now? Attachments:

Unfortunately the genetics are still the same in the mutated leaf, so it would still produce a regular flytrap.
I love the colours on your plant though. It looks very happy.

Aww bummer...I guess I'll just see it open then.
I grow all my plants under 2 54w Sunblaster T5HO(with the reflector), in a humidity tank that most people here have.

...Hi HaruShin! I've got a mutated plant as well. A typical store bought VFT that I got February 2nd (could be my Plant of the Month entry). After it completely froze in my shed during our brutal winter it is just starting to recover. It's a wonder that it's survived at all! It has one totally mutated trap, triangle shaped, probably will never open or close. The other interesting thing about this one is that it has a leaf with 2 traps developing and another single leaf that is just starting that also has 2 traps on it. We'll see what becomes of this monster! Happy growing .

Mutated leaves are a test from mother nature, or a cruel trick ! if it eats and is healthy thats all that really matters right? I just hope the seeds I have germinating throw this kinda thing at me ...if they ever germinate lolI got 3 VFT made in TC they look like mini plants even tiny traps starting!
