Greetings all... long time no see. I have my Windows desktop set to change photos every hour and one came up that made me even sicker of old man winter than I am already. I can hardly wait until I am seeing scenes like this outside again! D. linearis stirring to life D. linearis and S.purpurea purpurea at sundown last autumn I hope that these cheer someone up.

Beautiful shots - I haven never seen such a clustered population! You can definitely see the resemblance to D. anglica.

When they are just starting out for the season, they do look kind of "Anglica-ish", but when the season wears on (as in the last two pics), you can tell that they are definitely tell that they are linearis.
These were taken on the edges of the lawn at my cousin's cottage on the bruce peninsula. If I had panned out a bit more, you would have seen a section that must be 50'x50' of solid sundews, but the effect of the sunlight shining through the dew would have been lost. The glow effect on the Sarr was a nice bonus as well. Now if I can only get my bog garden looking like that.
