Hi Devon - Your photography is coming along well! You are developing your talents well. I'm impressed with not only the quality but also the range of your shots. As far as needing more pictures of girls, I would think being a photographer provides for the possibility of nearly endless opening lines. Try a few out. Good luck. With the photos of course...

He's a young 'un - plenty of time for taking pictures. Devon mate, get after the girls before the apes are through the forest and get all the low hanging fruit!

Lmao, will do canuk!
@apop: Thanks! I still haven't really developed my own style of photography because of all the different genres I'm trying, but that will come later I guess once I've decided on a couple genres to stick to.

Ah youth.... Style's gonna come Devon, don't worry about that. I reckon it should be the last thing on your mind. My experience from music - focus on getting better and NEVER lose the enjoyment of the art (if you can help it...).
Free advice from an old(er) codger so take it for what it's worth mate!

Thanks for the good advice guys. I'd like to get this thread going again, so here are a few recent edits. They are old photos, but I incorporated newish editing knowledge into them to make them look a lot nicer than the orginals. Same photo, but attempted to photoshop the orange reflections to make them more blue. I think this balances the picture a little better. This one is slightly less contrasted than all the others. I need to work on my consistency, lol. I changed the hue of the leaves in this one. I actually changed the hue in all of them, this one is just more noticeable. I guess he was putting on weight for winter huh? Thanks for looking!

Thanks! I use a Nikon D7000, and for most of the pictures I used my favourite lens which is a Zeiss 100mm f/2. Unfortunately I might be selling it to buy a different lens, but i'll definitely save up for it again some day.

Wow, your photos are none other then inspirational! Could I use them as reference for art practice? Yes of course! Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Haha thanks. I suppose you've had problems with chipmunks and CP's as well? Bumping this thread once again because I'm finally able to take some pictures with spare time now. Here are some random ones: CAT by DB~Filiformis, on Flickr This frog is living inside a Sarra pitcher. I want to get a better quality shot of him soon with brighter lights. Great photos Devon. That frog shot is amazing! So it can get in and out of the pitcher on its own?

Thanks!
Yep, he almost crawled all of the way out when I was taking the picture, and he disappears during the night.
