We lost a great plant grower but gained an even better photographer. Great shots Devon! Lots of personality in them. The third and last are my favourites.

Duuuuuuuuuude, those macros! Is that the zeiss? That bokeh is beyond magnificent! Yup. Thanks Shoggoths! I missed being here. I have a photo of a blue mushroom, but it's actually green. It was sort of a photoshop manipulation: But actual blue mushrooms would be way cooler. Just for fun, here is how I got the cactus shot: I used a remote shutter with the camera mounted on the tripod. I think I used 68mm worth of extension tubes with my 100mm Zeiss lens, so I was able to get super close. The white light bulb that's sitting behind the pot actually casted a nice reflection from the light bulb that was lit, and it made a nice bright white background. And one more photo for now that I don't think I posted before, but I may have. If it's a repost I'm sorry. Each marker was shot individually, as well as the smoke. I coloured the flames and smoke later in photoshop and did my best to align them perfectly. For smaller flames, I put a larger amount of smoke above them. For bigger flames, less smoke. I think that helped balance the image. Cheers!

Did you set those Sharpies on fire, or is it Photoshopped?

A new photo of Drosera x "Carbarup" For this I used the zeiss 100mm + a 50mm prime lens flipped and mounted onto the front. I also had 32mm of extension tubes between the camera and the 100mm lens. I'm thinking of doing some focus stacking with this lens set up since the depth of field is so shallow.

Amazing pic! You and Gabriel should collaborate for a CP coffee table book!
And I think that I speak for many on this forum when I say that if you and he produced a calender together, it would be an absolute must-have, especially if marketed on multiple forums!
Maybe a good Kickstarter project?

Thanks Cole!
I think that's a great idea, but I don't really have many more plants to take pictures of at the moment.
My indoor plants grow list:
D. oblanceolata D. neocaledonica D. spatulata D. madagascariensis a few of my own hybrids and some dying pygmies and stuff
Lol
*edit
But yeah I think that's a cool idea. It would help bring in the traffic here too maybe, right?

There's a photo competition for a calendar over at Terraforums that needs some entries.

This is true. Here is one more of the same plant. I tried focus stacking it a bit this time so there is more depth of field. It's not very sharp when viewed as a larger size though.
