How did your Nepenthes campanulata arrive? I've ordered three from Wistuba and every one of then arrives on the brink of death. I manage to keep them alive for a few months before they just either away.
Also purp purp var. ripicola isn't a valid variety. Someone proved that they revert back to normal when grown under different conditions. Still cool to have purps from that area. Where did you get it?

It had a black growing point when it arrived, so i though it was a goner, but it seemed like it was pigmented black, not dead black. It's been a week now, and the growth point started straightening up. You've kind of scared me now haha did yours ever grow before dying out? The purp i 'saved' from dorcas bay, where i found a clump of ripped out plants. I searched on google "sarracenia purpures dorcas bay" and BCP had a purp ripicola stated as {dorcas bay, Canada}, so i assumed it was the same type.

Sounds like all the other ones I've gotten. The black tip sucks, I've gotten them to grow even with the black tips but they never gain momentum and eventually die. Hopefully you'll have some better luck.
Yup that's where the "ripicola" grow, they do look slightly different but nothing that warrants a variety. Nice to have location data on it. If you have have a division please let me know.
