Check it out! I threw together an imgur album.
Anyone else mildly worried by the condition of the plants? Hmm.

that's quite a different approach. I would be definitely interested in the results of this growing method. keep us updated!

I'd say more so the glass sphere, and like I said elsewhere I'd be worries about the sun burning the roots of the fly trap. We have cheap white PW pots at work that let light in and the plant's roots don't do nearly as well as when placed in black pots according to my boss.

That is typical of most shipped CP's nothing looks wrong with them.
I would be very worried about the Flytrap for many reasons. First the globe is going to toast the plant on a hot sunny day, as lucst has said as well, the light to the roots is also going to be a problem.
It might be worth trying is you have money to spare on a new one but I would throw it into your bog with the other plants, it will grow much better and be way easy to care for.

Did Hawaiian Botanicals send you these? I ordered 2 Typical Venus Flytraps and a Big Jaws cultivator The shipping was expensive and I was sent a D Capensis as a bonus. Mine to was shipped in sealed bags in a box and were bareroot with the roots wrapped in a damp paper towel and what looked like tiny pieces of Perlite under the paper towel and was shipped from BC I just took the expensive shipping costs as being worth it for more disease resistant and healthy plants

Yes that is from HB. More importantly I wonder what happened to Zyra's "akai ryu" is doing or if he put it in a real pot.

Don't know much about them just they need a lot of sunlight to keep the red traps inside and out
