I was wondering the exact same thing, but was too scared to ask Thanks for asking the question! I'm actually new to this whole carnivorous plant thing, but I have a great interest in learning more. TC is probably a little too advanced for me, but maybe one day I'll be at that level. Again, thanks for asking the question and I look forward to learning from other experienced individuals.

No problem.
You'll find other complementary informations on the forum.

There's a lot on this forum. I made a bit of a TC diary on this forum. It might be helpful. TC is hard but not impossible. You can start off simply and fairly cheaply and ramp up to the harder stuff like building your own laminar flow hood. Read all the posts here, follow the included links and then ask specific questions. The worst that will happen is that you will spend ~ $50-$75 at the lowest end and end up with mouldy bottles at first. If you keep at it, you will succeed.

dToad: Very helpful post. I think pH paper is best until you are serious. I use a pH meter but it is a bit of a chore to calibrate and keep the cleaning/storage/calibrating solutions. Also I mix only 100 cc of medium at a time to keep it "fresh". BTW the last supply link seems a bit mysterious for TC: artificial cactus?

Lloyd:
OOPS!
That last link was to a source for foggers. I actually ordered from China via E-bay, and Mr Herp. The fogger from China must have come on the slow boat. It took 4 months to get here.
