I'll be in Guatemala next week. If anyone knows sources of information on Guatemalan pings, I'd appreciate it. So far I've found that P. orchidiodes is found in the Solola area, about 5 miles north of my hotel in the highlands. I'll keep an eye out for them.
My time there is short so I doubt I'll be going on any special expeditions for carnivorous plants, but it would be nice to know what's around.

If you have a chance, try to go to Lake Atitlan, it's beautiful. Don't go off the beaten tourista trail looking for plants, it can be dangerous there.

Thanks Lloyd, I'll be in Lake Atitlan for 4 days, and point taken about the dangers. I've heard a few reports of hikers being robbed at machete-point.

At machete-point?! Law of the jungle, I guess. Good luck Hal, stay safe!
