Last year, before I found this forum and Labine, I didn't know I could buy cephalotus plant in Canada so I bought a few seeds on ebay and I've made a few sowing tests to find what were the best conditions for me to grow them. With this knowledge, I decided to invest a little more last november. I bough some 'Eden black' seeds from Stephen Morley. They were not cheap but I really wish to try them. I was pretty happy when I open the enveloppe. The seeds were big and I did have more luck with big ceph seeds I almost had no sprout when the seeds were small. So, here's the seeds, my media and the baby. Considering that my windowsill shelf drop to the ground this winter and that I had to find the seeds back in the mess, I'm pretty happy. I don't want to remove the plastic wrap so the pic is a little blurry. And two of last year subject. Thanks for looking.

Hi Shoggoths - Très, très bien. That's a nice looking ceph. I'm impressed, particularly given your harrowing experience with them. I hope they continue to do well for you.

Thanks, merci, guys ! I hope it will do well and be special. I know it will not be a true 'Eden black' but perhaps can be our one until a true cutting come by Also, Stephen told me he already sold some seeds to Canada but don't have specify which kind. I have some common ceph seedling that are still under plastic wrap film so this summer I'll try my hand in acclimatizing them to the RH of my house.

Thanks again everyone. At the speed my other cephs are growing I think it will be a long wait before I can take anything from it but surely I will be better at leaves pulling by then

Tks James,
There's now 2 small pitchers on the sprout, I'll try to take a pic this week.
To this day, only 1 seed of the 17 has sprouted, I still hope for 1 or 2 more ...

I found that most ceph seeds, never germinate. If you get fresh maybe 2/10 will sprout and 1 will live.

So, at last, here is an update for my ceph black seedling. It is now sending it's 3rd pitcher. I usually have over 25% success with big seeds on my windowsill. Like you said, small seed usually don't sprout. I didn't have enough confidence in my condition and put some seeds (8/17) in my terra... poor choice and 8 of the others seeds has been disturbed by a 4 foot drop so I think that explain this time poor result.
