An interesting leaf shape started to emerge on April 14, looking to me like a double leaf. Today, April 15th, it became more apparent what this leaf was to become. From above, this new dual pointed leaf could be the start of a demarcation line, maybe signalling that this plant also wants to duplicate itself... ...or with those dual points, it could be turning into what Lloyd has warned us about before... I hope this isn't a demon plant ;D dvg

Hi DVG - First off, I am impressed at the fine scale detail you notice on your plants - and then are capable of photographing. My plants do not get this sort of care! Second, that's really exciting you may have another odd ball ping on your hands. It's interesting that with this one the leaves look more typical than you other plant. where it looks more like a living koosh ball. It makes for even more interesting developmental variety.

Im sticking with Lloyds theory... its demonized! You might be right there Drew...anyone know a priest that might be interested in repossessing a wayward ping? Thanks Apoplast. This one is growing longer and longer leaves, whereas the first one has very stiff little leaves that don't seem to readily detach, if at all. It's looking more and more like a sea creature every day That it is, that it is... dvg

This plant continues to make the double-wide leaves, but only on one side of the divide, thus far. dvg

Really really nice plant, effectively looks like a giant clam shell!
Nice shots too. The purple comes out really nicely.

Gorgeous looking Pings dvg! They are so beautiful and look quite lovely in their setup! I like the way their digestive enzymes look on their leaves...like they're sweating. What color! Well kept and well looked-after dvg. I really like the setup dude. I'm so envying you right now lol

Thanks guys! With these double-wide leaves now being made, some new patterns should soon start to emerge. It will be interesting to see if the whole plant eventually converts over to the double-wides, making for a very wavy-looking mexi-ping. dvg

Close-ups are fantastic!

Who knows how it will moph next. Haha! I agree that it is trippy looking. Looks to me like a sea anemone. I can almost picture the leaves swaying back and forth in the current. Thanks Farya, I've looked at this often enough now and thought the same thing. The double leaves are very cool, hopefully they continue to get bigger and bigger! Yeah, not really quite sure what to expect next with this one. dvg
