the moranesis that i have acquired from peter have grown very fast since ive had them,they are in the top row seen in this pic,#3,4,5,6.this is a july pic if i remember correctly Uploaded with ImageShack.usthis is what they look like today, sept 4th or what ever today is lol. a bit of an update here, all the pings seem to really like it in this tank,they have all started flowering at the same time,its quite interesting to see! i havent weeded in quite some time so just ignor them (it works for me lol) Uploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.usthe dews,not so much,theres been a bunch of die-off, i think it might be the cold we have had the last bit.the tank is right in front of the window its been around 10c during the day in the tank

Very nice Harley! With that many flowers going at once, you have a great opportunity to brush up on some of your Pinguicula pollination techniques. Are any of your other mexi-pings flowering...you might even be able to do some interesting crosses if the species are compatible. dvg

Nice tank A little bit of everything. Even better with the pings in flower. Like DVG told, you could try some pollination but watch out for the seeds afterward I think a multifida has done seeds in my tank ... there's a catastrophe coming ...

ive never even thought of seeds,thanks for the heads up ;D the moctezumae x gypsicola is also flowering, so its as simple as rubbing the flowers together ??

Pings are a bit tricky to pollinate. If you head over to Terraforums there's a sticky there about how to do it. It involves a toothpick, good eyesight, and possibly pulling the flower apart.

and does this look like it is going to seed? or is it just on its death bed lol, i tried to pollinate them by hand and this one looks different than the others, i could just be looking at it through seed-colored glasses lol Uploaded with ImageShack.us
