Where did you guys buy your materials? like Orchid bark and coarse perlite? I can find perlite in home depot and garden center buy i can't find any coarse one... or did you guys order's yours online?

I'm not sure how coarse you want your perlite but the stuff I find in hardware stores, etc. in Toronto seems pretty coarse to me. I buy orchid bark at an orchid store on Yonge south of St. Clair.

Really? They just moved North a few shops but now that I think of it I seem to remember a sale so maybe they are giving up. I've been sick for a few days but when I go by this week I'll check it out again.
The Asian flower places often sell orchid bark-like the places on Avenue Rd. just south of Davenport.

The orchid store south of St. Clair on Yonge moved in with a florist a block north last year. I walked by today and it seems it doesn't really exist anymore, just a few phalenopsis in the window of the florist.

ah....maybe a better choice to order it from agrogreen...
@.@ won't the reptile bark the same? cuz i saw some bark, pure bark from PJ pet but i am not sure if they add anything to it... but it said keep moisture and for rept use...

Orchid bark is evergreen bark, should be all the same, more or less.

I get my orchid bark and sphagnum at sheridan nursaries. CHeck it out. Its pretty good.
