HI everyone. I got some P. pirouette from jonnybee7 a few weeks ago and one of them dropped a few leaves. I figured I have never had a real chance to try leaf pullings so I put a single leaf into a tiny baggie of RO water and put it under a desk lamp (close to the bulb).
That was maybe 10 days ago and today I randomly looked and I see a couple little buds sprouting from the base of the leaf pulling!
I tried to get a picture but had no luck with my cheap camera.
Anyways, how big to should I let the new plantlet(s) get before transferring them to some actual growing media? Thanks!

I find that the longer you leave them, the better success. Wait until they have several leaves and grow roots, and don't pull the plantlets off the leaf, put the whole leaf on the growing medium. It will rot. If you pull the plantlets off, the seem to take much longer to get established.

I put my leaf pullings directly in the media, and let them grow right there. No need to move them until they get big. They look nice in a clump too, though.

For pings ive always just had a little cup with 1 inch of LIGHTLY packed moss. Then I flood it half way with water. I put the leaf in there and cover with plastic. Let sit for maybe 1-3 weeks and ive only had one or two not take but they rotted fast so the leaf was probably expired before. I then let them grow up to 1-2 cm before I remove them.
Let it grow as much as possible until the pulling leaf is completely rotted off. Then transplant!
