Sorry all...this is probably easy for most of you, but for some reason, I've been having trouble adding a pic as my avatar. I use flickr for my photo sharing, but I've tried everything, and it just doesn't seem to want to take.
If someone could be extra cool, and let this newb know to post a pic for my avatar, Ill be your best friend for life.

at top of home page...click on "profile" ..then on "modify profile" which is next to "member's bio" Then go down to "avatar url" and put in the link to the avatar photo...set the size ...65 X 65...should find that works.

lol...yeah, I got that part down no problem...however...when I add in a link, URL or anything else for that matter (from flickr), then hit update profile, the screen just refreshes as if nothing happened. Im also using a WAY overrated, expensive, peanutty log of a computer, otherwise known as a MAC (sometimes I would rather plug my peripherals into an actual log of dung, as this would be WAY less frustrating to use), so this is possibly adding to the issue.
I guess Im just not sure where Im going wrong. Is it necessary to declare the size of the photo, or should I change that in flickr. Whatever...Ill keep trying to figure it out. Thanks for your help though.

You have a Mac and don't like it? I was thinking of switiching. Not really sure yet. Seems to be one of the love-it-or-hate-it things. Haven't met many people who are mediocre about Macs.

hey kd...I guess I let my frustration get the better of me. Truth is, my mac is a sweet machine, but growing up using windows, you really have to chage your way of thinking, when it comes to operating it. Its a frustrating learning curve to say the least (for me anyways). I've been working with a knowledgeable MAC user, however, and has been showing me tips and tricks on how to actually use the OS, and I have to say, the more I learn, the less I open up my laptop! Some stuff still gets under my skin though.
