I just got some P. vulgaris seed from eBay. Do I need to stratify? Any ideas about GA3? Should I stratify and wait till next spring to germinate?

I would say that Stratification is a must. I would also suggest that, yes, perhaps waiting for next spring is a good idea, but that is just a hunch. Our temperate Pings seem pretty darn particular about things like that, from my experience.
Ga3 I have no clue about so someone else can bat cleanup on this one.

Hey Lloyd,
I'm putting my seeds into cold strat for 3 weeks, then I'm going to go ahead with a 250 ppm soloution of GA3. Every source I've read has said that soaking seeds in this concentration for 24 hours breaks dormancy, and leads to a more uniform germination rate. My seeds have been sitting in the fridge for a little over a week, and I'm still waiting on the GA3 to come in the mail, but I think this might be a good way to do it. Let us know what you end up going with.
Cheers!

Try some outside in a pot. They are native, so the cold winter should be what it needs.
