Looks like moranensis to me too(or possibly moranensis x ehlersiae aka 'weser'). If you google elhersiae, you'll have a good idea of what they should look like.

I did Google it, and the plant does look different on most pics, but there could be a difference in wet season/dry season leaves. I e-mailed the vendor to try to confirm. I already have P. moranensis.
It is not complicated ordering in this case, as the vendor is coming to us, so no paperwork hassle.

Okay, since the plant in question is questionable as to what it actually is, I think I'll skip it. The do have one other that I was looking at, though: www.orchidweb.com/detail.aspx?id=1877. Is this one what they say it is? Is the price good? I guess I should have started this off by asking if anyone here had any of these to sell or trade, but the vendor will deliver for free - it's just the price of the plant I was wondering about. Tom - if you do have any extra Pings that you would like to sell, I'd be interested. The P. 'Weser' looks a lot like the plants I already have, though.

That may be a gigantea but it doesn't look like mine (From Tom, I think :-) ). Mine has much thicker leaves. That picture looks more like a moranensis?

It's a good thing I asked here! It doesn't look like my moranensis, but I'm still new at this. Should I get it, or does anyone here have a real gigantea for sale? (Tom, you seem to be the go-to person for this one too )

I'm not sure there is a moranensis with a light blue flower like that.

Aren't the leaves way too big and floppy for a moranensis? 8" is pretty big!

For my 2 cents, I think those prices are high, esp since they are in USD (if and when CAD drops again). When Kheen's opens he has a half decent selection of pings. Hawiian Botanicals also has some, compare the prices to those sites and you'll get an idea. Plus, if you can find someone on here that's willing to sell/trade them, they will be a lot better quality and what you buy will be what you get. You don't have to worry about buying a gyspicola and getting a 'Weser' instead!
Side note, I don't know which pings are pictured on that site, I'm just getting into them myself.

Yeah, I figured the prices were high, but I didn't see those specific species offered elsewhere. And yes, if anyone has Pings they would like to sell/trade (if I even have anything that you would want) let me know.

hard to tell. I browse quickly though the pings, and his P. gigantea flower looks like the one i have, but the leave are quite different. Same for the ehlersiae, although the flowers is a bit different too. For both plants, though the growing conditions (both are mutlgrowth point rosette, probably in lower light too) can give those result too.
I have some ehlersiae in spare, and I'll have to check for the gigantea, since i havent 'update' whats left since i post my trade/sale offer last week. If you might be interested in buying, they should be the same price as the others, aka 5$/plant plus shipping. let it me know, and i should have the time by then to check if i have some extraa gigantea
