Very nice.
I bought a potted plant a few years ago. It's been throwing off baby bulbs every year (I now have 2 bulbs about 4" dia and a half dozen about 1-2") but I haven't had flowers yet.
The bulbs have been sitting in the basement all winter and I'm going to plant them tomorrow.

That's sweet, They should flower at the 4" size? I wonder if there is some weird trigger? what zone are you? I've heard of many people keeping them outside year round, Kind of like growing Dracunculus but they're less hardy, Zone 6 or 7, but if you have extras why not try keeping them outside for a year? Do you keep them in a pot year round? I've heard that keeping them in a pot will only shrink the bulb size but treating them like Cana's and potting them outside and digging them up they should grow like weeds. This is only my first year with them so I'm only going on what other people have said. Sorry for all the questions

I grow them in pots on the patio and dig them up in the fall and store them inside in the basement in a tray of bark, along with other tender bulbs and tubers.
I just went down to check them out and the 2 big ones are already sprouting! In fact the biggest is about 12" long and looks a lot like your flower stalk, but paler and it hasn't opened. I guess the little bit of light from the basement window set them off. The begonias are sprouting, too. Better get them in a pot, soon.

haha nice, Ya if its sprouting now then they're both flowers. They don't leaf out for another few weeks, My flowers are done and the leaf growth is only about an inch lol Try planting one of your big ones outside this year and I bet they'll be much bigger when you dig them in the fall You'll have to let us know how tall yours gets too!!
