I do love a challenge myself, just keep in mind that sarrs in particular take years to mature, like 5-7. for the first 2 they dont look like alot, but by the 3rd you usually have miniture adults, give or take a few characteristics. If you decide you want to try the plant aswell, many people including myself grow it and you can probably get one in the spring. good luck Sib

If you really want to try growing from seed, get yourself an actual plant first so you have something to look at for at least 5 years. S. psittacina is a very slow grower in my opinion, it can get a bit boring growing from seed.
