ah seeedlings the joys of waiting and guessing what they will be, picking out one of the pack that looks promising, then haveing others that pop out once they begin to mature, never gets old hehe. Sib

Those seedlings look really nice, I'm thinking of ordering some seeds for myself but I'm afraid that the ones available through ebay will not be too good, so I may wait until the spring to order the seeds. How long did it take for the seedlings to get to that size? Just asking.

I've personally seen what outdoor-grown seedlings look like, even in the first year, and they are incomparable to the ones I have *coughLABINEcough* The S. purpurea venosa from Brunswick north carolina and the rubra or oreophila sprouted back in February 2009, and the S. purp heterophyllas come from Tom, so I don't know the exact germination date.
