I have a P. gypsicola leaf pulling that has several growth points and more keep appearing every few days. No roots, just leaves. Right now it's on pure perlite. What do I do next and how would I separate the tiny plants, or should I even try?
I was thinking of just putting the whole thing in some ping soil (1:1:1 perlite/vermiculite/peat) letting it grow a bit and get some roots, then separating the plants.

With Pinguicula pullings, that will happen I would really let them grow until they`re big enough to divide (to avoid too much shock or loss of plantlets) then you could try dividing them... just my opinion. I think you should put them in your ping mix and let them grow roots, then separate them Good luck!

Yep I agree as pet said. Since they lack serious root systems its best to wait until its big enough to seperate/do leaf pullings on. They grow fast anyways and always succeed on leaf pullings so just wait till next month then divide that baby up!

if you have a couple leaf pullings, I would suggest you experiment a bit. When ever i did pullings, i would get the clusters that you refer to. I would then leave them to grow untill they started to crowd each other (which was about the same time roots would start to show maybe a bit before). Then I would systematically harves the budding plantlets, only harvesting a couple at a time, and always the biggest, leaving room for smaller plantletts to develop. This was just my system, and it worked great for me. Instead of getting 1-2 large plants by potting it up as is, i would get up to a dozen sometimes, suppose you could get more. Thanks Sib
