I've been watching these girls closely since they were a year old and clearly didn't fit in with their siblings hehe. Its funny to bounce back and forth between them as they hit their straides in a season. On colours up quicker, the other has more substance, the other has more height, the other has cool spots and veins the other dosen't need those it has colour 2/3rds its pitcher or more, lol it keeps going on. I call them the frost sisters, originally i was going to select one and call it susan frost, but i've been unable to pick one As the frost indicates they are super hardy, they went through last years winter without so much as a growth tip rotting, they were one of the few plants that didn't heave, and their pitcher retention was awsome, i actually felt bad tripping them back so all the new growth could come up and look clean So with out further adu, the ladies: The one i orriginally selected has the strong venation aswell as white spots, in the later season they become stronger. The pitcher throat even bulges some. This is the other sister, more streamline and elegant, and a fine bright red colour too. here are

Nice Syb! I drove by your house yesterday and was gonna stop by but we were running late for a 40th birthday party! Had to take the detour down your road since the bridge on 8 is out!

I didn't make this cross a friend in scotland did. Well actually it was an accident really, they showed up in a group of seed that was supposed to be purpurea ssp. purpurea forma heterophylla (which i have a nice stand of) the other parent is unknown but assumed leucophylla hybrid. I'm thinking some rubra aswell. flowers stronly resemble my other rubras. They should be available in the spring as they are both now flowering age and multiple growth points on each. I will be giving preference to those with bogs to do some additional "feild" testing. they seam to do quite well so far. Thanks Sib
