What do you guys consider too hot for my H. minor? The hottest it gets in my terrarium is jus above 28* C

Mine don't seem too fussy, sometimes they bake and sometimes they are cool. I've even had them out in bright full sun.

Can you post a pic Mark. Just to be safe, take a magnifying glass and a bright light and carefully visually inspect your plant for any unwanted house guests.

mine's got 26-27 C days, 20 (winter) or room temp(summer, fluxuates) nights. i have yet to see any spotting, but i do notice my heli is blushing, as in the older pitchers are turning red frmo a certain point and spreads through the trap. looks cool

I've had one of my H. minor outside (Toronto) for the past 2 weeks. I was hoping to give it some red colour in the full sun. Instead it lost some of the green colour and went pale and a few pitchers turned brown around the edges.
Back inside it goes and I'll just try more fluorescent light to get some colour.

Yikes Hal, lets hope that humidity wasn't too low...

Thanks, PM.
It was under a plastic dome - which kept in the humidity but may have kept in too much heat, although there were holes in the dome for ventilation and to let the bugs in. The Droseras are loving it, but the Heli didn't do so well. I think I'll have to bring my Darlingtonia in soon, too.
