Hey guys, I was just looking inside my nep enclousure...and I spotted a small little moth like insect on one of the neps. There was only one. It was on top of the leaf...not on the bottom. I didn't get a pic as I killed it immediately and fed it to one of the neps. lol! But...I am concerned if it is indeed the whitefly. Perhaps our entamologist Ellsie can help out. Now..I have looked online for images of whitefly. I am in denial though...I remember that the body of the fly was green in color...not yellow. It didn't have those red eyes and the wings weren't horizontal..they were almost vertical and wrapped around the sides of the bug. It was as small 2mm. Where the hell do bugs come from on the 15th floor?? SHeesh!!! Just when I thought things are looking up. tsk tsk!! V

Hey there Vreav, Do your neighbors grow any specific plants near your apartment?? Perhaps the host plant is located on their balcony.....also, what type of vegetation is near you?? Conifer trees, flowering bushes, trees that have fruit.....etc. So, based on your description, I'm assuming: the wings on the bug you saw are not as "flat and doesn't surround" the bug's body like in this pic: what about these?? Do any of these following pics remotely resemble what you saw?? (all insects are the ~2mm size and are usually found on the tops of leaves) PIC #1: PIC #2: PIC #3:

PIC1. Thats exactly what I saw...more accurately...it was the bug on the left...as u see..the wings are not flat. I initially thought it was a bit of dried sphagnum as I am always removing rusted paint chips from my pots and some of the sphagnum comes off as well. I don't see any plants in the neighbour's balcony. Also there is quite a bit of vegetation composed of various trees around the apt building. But i don't understand how the bugs can home in to the 15th floor. Even considering tree height, the tress are like 10 floors under my balcony.
