Hey everyone,
I'm new to the carnivorous plant scene, recently received my plants from Keehn's. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks as I figured out how to grow these plants.
I just set up a very small terrarium at home in an old 3 gallon aquarium. I will post some pictures up once I get the chance.
I work at a company that produces bulk potting mixes for nurseries and greenhouses- so I get to make my own media and can experiment with MANY ingredients.
Anyways, hope to gain some more info from the community and help out where I can. Cheers!

Hullo and welcome, glad you could join us !!
Check out some of DVGs Ping mixes, he has some of the most elaborate and unusual concoctions for growing Pinguicula (and unusual Pings at that)

Hi renesis, I'm in Toronto. If you ever want any seedlings I should have some soon. I'd give them away or you could bring some stuff that's impossible to find in Toronto, like a gritty silica sand.

Thanks for the warm welcomes! lloyd, That would be great! Here's some of the coarser materials I have access to: First two are different sizes of Haydite (expanded inert clay), usually used for greenroof projects for drainage as a replacement for perlite (perlite blows away!). Third is 'low pH sand' ph ~ 6.5, E.C. ~ 0.02 (As opposed to Mason/Play Sand: pH ~ 8.3, E.C ~ 0.11) Fourth, '1/4" stone chips' I haven't tested the haydite or the stone chips lately, but I believe they are near neutral and low salts. And yes, I'm bored at work waiting for the weekend to start

Welcome to the forum renesis. That haydite is interesting. Have to research on that one. Thanks for posting.
