I have one of those air conditioners that drips. Is is alright to use the water for my Carnivorous plants?

I've heard that this is not the best water to use, as it can pickup metal ions from the condenser in the air conditioner.
All I remember one summer at our old house was collecting a bucket of the stuff and tossing it out over part of our front lawn. The next day, all the grass was dead.
Scary stuff!

the easiest thing i have found is the distiled water at the store its about $1.19 for 4 L
also if you have a freezer that gets ice build up that would melt into distiled water as it is frozen air.

No. Do not use dehumidifier or air conditioner water from aluminum coils. I have first hand experience When I stopped using it and changed to melted snow, there was a great improvement in the growth of my plants.

I was going to post the same thing, a few members have learned that aluminum can REALLY cause troubles even in small amounts, copper is also real bad for use on CPs, just a warning

You should see what it does to expensively stocked marine aquariums.

There's a thread here where I found my dehumidifier water was loaded with aluminum. I stopped using it. If anybody wants I can send them testing tablets.
