Seems that there are a number of CP lovers as well as frog lovers out here Since many of us trade and share material and stories of our hobbies, I'm just wondering how many other colleagues are out there? I know that we have a few dart frog Gurus on this OCPS forum, Hal, Syble, Treefrog, sdeering, Rick and I am sure a few others. I'd love to see photos of your frogs... and the vivariums set up for them. Don't be shy, join this thread and talk frog+CP! Thanks.

I gave up my dart frogs about 10 years ago. Don't tempt me.....There are so many varieties being bred in Canada now - it's incredible!
I had auratus, 2 varieties of tinctorius, E. tricolor, P. vittatus, lots of mantellas and probably a dozen other frog species over the years.

I think it's just that CP enthusiasts just like things that eat other things! I don't have any darts, but could you guys post pics of your frog enclosures? I want to set one up... can you put nepenthe in their tanks? Or will they drown in the pitcher? I'd like to have a wicked terrarium with nepenths and dart frogs... but that's an expensive experiment if they're gonna get eat'n.

Hey -3E,
You should post pictures of your monitor lizard. I guess you can mix a nep with that beast.

Here are some photos of what happened last summer. I had posted these pics on this forum earlier, but here they are again: Day one : Four days later: at Two weeks:

I wanted to get one of those lime green tree-boas, but my wife is repulsed by snakes and my daughter vetoed me, as she loves her furry little rodents (she has had hamsters as pets for a long time) and the thought of feeding something that even vaugely resembles her pets freaks her out. So I'm keeping my hobbies to CP, orchids, frogs, bearded dragons, bugs, sports and magic. Here are some pics of my four dendrobates tinctorius: Here are some of the eggs from the first clutch developing:

Must...resist...urge...to get....frogs...again
Those are beautiful Rick. When I first got mine I used to call to them, making that low whistling buzz they do. Sometimes they'd answer back.
