I think some of the bigger frogs would eat the grasshoppers... my treefrogs are too damn picky. Spitting out worms when I try feeding them crawlers, and only going for gourmet crickets.

lol! seems like they demand a regal diet. But.... D.... isn't it healthier to feed frogs a varied diet? Are there any studies available on the diet of tree frogs (esp. red eyed tree frogs)

Varun, nice to see one of your photos again. I personally like the look of ps'ed images...much clearer, brighter and 'truer'. Thanks for making the effort. Btw do you have any recent photos of you Darlingtonia californica at the ready. I really liked your pics of it earlier in the summer. How's it been doing lately? BTW......it IS photoshopped. Believe whatever ya want to. ;D !!! lighting: 1 x britestik GE plant gro n sho + 1 x britestik warm white

Flytrap, that frog is too funny! He looks absolutely devious. But yes... it seems everyone had been busy for a few days there! (I was checking, but only online for moments at a time). I, myself, am getting ready for another year of college.

Thanks Doug. The cobra? Well....I don't really pay attention to it. I just water all my plants apart from the occassional admiration in silence. here it is right now: Once again.... Photoshopped!!! Varun's Believe it or not.

thanks guys. Thanks D for giving me this beautiful baby. It was sketchy and almost went downhill with the bigger seedling, but finally persisted. The oldest pitcher on this is around october of last yr and its still looking good. Among the longest pitcher lifespan among this group of plants. I think it is now supposed to be around 2 1/2 -3 yrs old. I remember D saying that it was a 2yr old seedling when I got it.

Haha, actually not related to Botany at all (I mean unless you count scientific illustrations... but I'm going into interpretive, I think). I'm in Sheridan College for Illustration.

Haha, well we study stuff like... perspective, and life drawing (drawing naked people, haha.) And sometimes they bring in animals and stuff and we get to draw them (though I feel sorry for the animals because it probably stresses them out, but thankfully no one is loud). Uhm... and we also study design, colour, composition and different medias... and art history. Stuff like that! Haha.
