Hello everyone! This seems like a rather lovely forum. I'm an art student in college new to the CP growing, but I'd love to extend my collection (which, right now, only consists of a N. ventricosa), and knowledge of CPs. Sadly, I'm having trouble finding them, and after moving to Ontario for college, I am learning the best place to find them is in BC (which is where I am from! Augh!). I am also restricted to varieties that will do well indoors, being that a live in an apartment. So although I'm very keen on sarracenia, I can't have any! (I don't think...) Although, I do very much love drosera, utricularia (terrestrial), and nepenthes! Well, I think that's enough babble for now. Thanks for making this wonderful forum!

Greetings and welcome to the forum! You will find mny people here who will definitely help you with your collection.
If you could PM me your address, I can send you some D. delsiana. They're a bit on the small side right now, but they won't remain that way for long.

If you have a sunny south or west facing balcony you could grow sarrs. I've grown them inside but they are much nicer outside. I will have some easy sundews to give away a bit later on.

Rick, thanks for the welcome and the offer! The dielsiana are quite pretty! How large do they get? Or does it depend how much room you give them to grow? Do they require dormancy/will they go dormant? (I tried to find out on google but I don't *always* trust the sources and I couldn't really find anything on it!) Lloyd, I would LOVE to grow Sarracenias, and I actually do have a west facing balcony (and all windows are facing west)... I'm just terrified of the wind we get here. I'm afraid it would knock the sarrs over! I'm definitely getting some when/if I ever get a home, haha! They're gorgeous! About the sundews, keep me posted I'm definitely interested! I'm looking for capensis (white or red) as well! Although from what I've been reading on the forums people think they are "messy" hahah! I thought it was quite funny, though I still think they're a nice looking plant. Thanks guys! --K EDIT: I just realized I use exclamation points all too much. I am very "internet loud".

hey, at least you don't lean on the caps-lock Another welcome from the Horror of the Horseshoe Nothin wrong with D.capensis but they CAN get out of hand, especially since they're pretty much a "newbie" plant and most of the time folks are thrilled to death with them initially, but once you get a bit more seasoned (and after they start makin seeds lol) they can be a bit annoying- still pretty tho If yer comin to the Niagara area look me up, I'm always around and have lots of plants that I could share bits and pieces of

Mabudon, Ha! True 'nuff. Hehe, Horror of the Horseshoe? I feel silly but I don't understand! Haha, ah those capensis. I'd like to try it out at least! If it gets out of hand I'll leave it in the laundry room with a "Free to a good home" sign. And thanks! But since I don't drive... I don't think I'll be able to make it out that way. But yes, I'll let you know if I get the chance! Man, this forum is full great people!

lol I just figured I am pretty much the "scariest" regular poster here- most definitely the scariest moderator (tho another of the gang made north american news owing to a false accusation of starting a riot) I figured a "custom title" was in order

Haha! Well, you don't seem very scary, but I suppose you can keep the title.
