EXACTLY!!! THAT IS EXACTLY what I said and what all of us agree here when we brought the website up. I mean, my parents called me a month ago, saying, that they have been to a "horticultural society" in toronto with nice exhibits of plants and so on. They had their own little "ROOM for rent" which they filled with nice terrariums and stuff like that for more publicity. My mom was like "My son grows CP's!" and they went "Great! Thats nice! Ask him if he is interested to join!!" .. later I checked it out (I still forgot what its really called but, its actually part of an international society/toronto group.).....but found mostly flowering plants, which do not interest me much ... I am a foliage guy. ANyways...to get this kind ofa publicity for the OCPS, is ONLY possible once we have a "working official society" with many members. Then we can go to the distrubuters of CP's in canada, offer them the opportunity to support the OCPS as we can help educate with proper CP growing and make arrangements so taht we offer the TAGS and so on for plants. The first of these steps has been generously setup by Carl Mazour. lets try taking this a step at a time.

I think it would be a great idea to make up a pamphlet and distribute them to large and small growers. Being a new member here I cannot stress how much of a pain in the butt it was to find a site like this. I asked questions of many ppl and got little to no info. Another idea would be to actually go to the growers ie. Colasatis Tropical Gardens and see if we can actually promote CP's and possibly sell plants and gather interest. The problem is that many ppl aren't interested in cp's because they don't know about them, or how to properly grow them. I find that here but totally by accident.
