I was just at Home Depot to buy some lightbulbs which they no longer have (metal halide) and of course went to the plant section. No CP's today but they had some nice looking sphagnum called "Mossee" something or other. The label said it was from Wisconsin where it was "farmed" in a sustainable fashion which sounds like a good idea. I also bought some No-Damp for my nep seeds and other cuttings. Does anybody know if No-Damp can be used in Tissue Culture? It's supposedly non-toxic. It sure does stink before you dilute it.

Actually I was surprised. It says 10 ml/Litre so I added 0.1 ml to 10cc and it didn't seem to stink at all. Still I wouldn't dare use it in the fridge. Could cause serious domestic problems. Plus stink up the fridge, although it would probably improve the odour of brussells sprouts.

Lloyd, I think youre referring to "Mosser Lee" LFS. Not the best type I have seen. It is very dry and just by manipulating it, it crumbles into pieces.

Oh well, I'll try it out and report back how it works out. It was on special anyway, just a few bucks. Maybe it was cheap to unload a low quality brand.

Mosser Lee is the only one our local HD usually carries- haven't had to break down and buy it yet, but do let us know how it "performs" for you Lloyd (I used parentheses there cos sitting in a pot ain't usually what I mean by "performing" )
