Hi, I've been trying to acclimatize some plants this week-end. At left, you have some group of Heliamphora minor, and at right, some 3 months old Byblis lamellata. The hormones/growth regulators weren't in a perfect balance in this one and there was a lot of callus growth. Let's hope that they'll mostly survive the process of getting the ex vitro!

The media should be all washen off in fact, if not, it will promote growth of bacteria and fungi that can easily overcome the still stressed/weak plants from TC.

Looks like a great job. Were those from seeds or explants? If any of the Byblis Lamellata survive to the spring I wouldn't mind one.

The B. lamellata were grown from seeds, only 10-15% germinated (in fact, 2 seeds) if i remember well. They were started in late summer, and since i was lazy, they grew a few growth points in the Petri dish, which was handy for putting it on the multiplication media.
I hope to have some survivors, since i don't intend to keep them all, i dont think i have the proper conditions anyway, and i prefer to 'share the risk' of loosing that species, so I'll for sure put it in the trade forums as soon as the weather warm up and that i'm sure about their survival. Placing one or two at the Montreal Botanical Garden is one possibility too.
