Hey guys. I have a plan of getting a nepenthes mixta from keehns, and have a few questions. 1.I was in the hydroponics store in Calgary and looked at some water misters. I found one, but was $80 so I didnt feel like dropping that much money. Should I do misting manually? How often? How long should i mist them? 2.I was also wondering how do I water these beasties? Also, should I put water in the pitchers? 3.My main concern is humidity. In my new setup im gunna build tomorrow, It will be a mini greenhouse that will sit in my living room. How big of a hole/space should I leave for air circulation? What is the best way to increase humidity? I know that my substrate which is going to be pure LFS is gunna help a lot. Is there any more ways to increase humidity? Along in this mini-greenhouse there will be a cape sundew, rosetted sundew and a typical venus fly trap. As you can see, I have big plans lol

well...one thing is for sure...capensis and VFT don't require more than 50 or 60% humidity which u can easily get if you put their pots in a bowl of water. For nepenthes however, u need like 75% humidity recommended to be satisfactory pitchering and all. So personally...I am misitng my neps with a spray bottle....80$ is totally unnecessary.

O ok vraev. How much times do you do this misting?

O, and one more thing. I also was looking at some neps on ebay and came by this Nepenthes rafflesiana and it looked awesome. It said that it was grown in 80% shade? I have no clue how to get that and how do you measure shade? I really want to get this plant but dont know how to accomplish the shade
