with the onset of warmer weather i have noticed ants cruising around in my solarium.Noticed them on the citrus blooms a few weeks back. The tiny brown kind. This morning while misting i saw 2 on the lip of a pitcher. Inside were like 50-75 dead drowned ants.Every pitcher on every plant in the greenhouse has like1/4 inch of dead ant bodies in the bottom. I thought that was pretty cool since now ""I"" don't have to feed them LOL

Yes they seem to gather at the leaf axils where the little drops are, and feed up. Then when it"s home time, they don't go against the flow of the foliage, but rather go with the flow and inevitabley end up on a tendril, then the lip, and then they are #$@!ed. They don't fall in right away though, once they get under the lip, they try getting out till they are tired and then take a bath!
