Hi, I purchased a N>Inermis from a friend of mine a few weeks ago and i cant get he darn thing to pitcher and i think i froze it in time somehow. My terr is abou 10 deg C in the night and about 22 in the day humidity is 75-80% always. I hear this is excellent for Inermis but do u think it would pitcher? lol and now it seems the new leaves get smaller and smaller with no pitchers. does anyone have some tips for this finicky plant? -Oh hey i just noticed it has a side shoot !! Well at least there is some progres.... Cheers, John

Smaller and smaller you say...Maybe it has something to do with the root system.

The lighting seems to be adequate because the leaves are turning slightly red on all the plants and the pitcher coloration is awesome. , maybe it is the roots i will take a deeper look at them , thanks John

My N. inermis is pitchering in similar conditions (16-22°C, 80-90%RH, 12" from T12 tubes). It is a relatively slow grower, putting a new leaf every 2 months.

You state you've only had your inermis for a few weeks, so give it some time. Our longer daylight hours will be coming upon us. however, your night time temps are still a bit on the low side.
The first few years for Neps are excrutiatingly slow... so not to worry. My inermis stayed tiny for a few years, now it's getting nice and big... I hope this will be the year I get it's nice upper pitchers.
