Probably some people think it's "healthier" to drink distilled water.

well....technically flouride in water is good as a preventative measure but distilled water doesn't have that. So technically there isn't too much of a benefit.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't distilled water somehow a little "too pure" to be actually "good" for a person?? I swear I "know" this somehow but can't recall how I came to believe it- it would make sense in a way tho, I guess

yeah....I think it is too pure. There was also a study conducted that "soft" water, (even distilled water is beyond just soft) has been correlated to increased risk to few diseases compared to ppl who drank hard water. I guess the salts are necessary for immune function. Basically yeah! i don't normally hear of ppl drinking distilled water. But, hey, the water fillup store I used to go to has taps for RO water, distilled water and ppl come with bottles of 5 gallons...so I guess someone drinks it.

Spring water is scary. If it comes out of the ground it went in to the ground somewhere upstream. I wouldn't touch it. Remember the Perrier scandal? Tap water is tested, just use a carbon filter or put it into a jug exposed to the air to get rid of the chlorine and trihalomethanes then it is safe to drink.
